Privacy Policy

Meranti Woodworks Sdn. Bhd. (“we”, “us”, “the workshop”) operates the website petwise.help. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why we handle it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Information we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website, we receive the details you type: your name, email address, phone number, the type of project you are considering and your description of it. If you telephone or WhatsApp us, we may note your contact details and project requirements so we can prepare a quotation.
During a site visit we record measurements, photographs of the space and, where relevant, access notes for your building. These relate to your property rather than to you personally, but we treat them with the same care.
Our web server also keeps routine technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — used solely for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare drawings and quotations, schedule site visits and installations, honour our warranty, and keep basic accounting records as Malaysian law requires. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and we do not send marketing newsletters.
Who sees it
Only our small office team and the project consultant assigned to you. Where a project involves a third party you have engaged — an interior designer or main contractor, for instance — we share project details with them only as needed and with your knowledge. Our website hosting provider processes server logs on our behalf under contract.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 12 months. Project records, including measurements and quotations, are kept for the duration of your 5-year workmanship warranty plus 2 years, after which they are securely destroyed. Accounting records are retained for 7 years as required by the Income Tax Act 1967.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or stop processing it. Write to [email protected] or to our registered address at 18, Jalan Riong, Bangsar, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, and we will respond within 21 days.
Security
Enquiry data is stored on access-controlled systems available only to staff who need it. Paper drawings and measurement notes are kept at the workshop and shredded when no longer required.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the revised version here with a new revision date. Material changes affecting active clients will be notified by email.
